Introduction

‘Introduction’ is the first song on Middlway’s new album. It is a mostly instrumental track with some chanting… “Hey ja, Hey ja”….Half German and half English. The instrumentation is the interesting part. Electric guitar tracks trade places with a $50 broken 3/4 acoustic guitar from India. A rain stick shushes back and forth with djembe, hand played snare drum and cardboard boxes. When the percussion really ramps up an oven tray is introduced. Bass drone joins the tambourine crashinglike a machine. For those wanting a translation the words in English are “Hey yes, Hey yes.”
